I am really surprised not to find some of you more historical fans not mention the passing of Kyle Rote. The DMN had a great picture of him with Doak Walker blocking. It seems he is part of the great SMU tradition since he was on the team the only time they were ranked #1 in the nation.
Maybe I missed the post, but I felt he deserves some recognition on PonyFans.
