ESPN Radio reports that Southlake QB Greg Mcelroy has changed his commitment from Texas Tech to Alabama. Wonder how much the Cotton Bowl influenced his decision?
Not nearly as much, I would think, as the fact that Tech QBs put up gawdy numbers in Lubbock but haven't done squat in the NFL. The Leach has a fun-to-watch offense, but Mike Shula knows the NFL game, too. If I was a QB and had a choice, it would be a no-brainer.
Alabama thought they were going to be able to bag Mustain, but he recommitted to Arkansas. Also last week a top Alabama HS QB committed to Arkansas. I am sure that Alabama was able to promise any QB interested the world.
I agree to an extent that a lot of Tech QB's are products of the system, but if i was a talented QB I would give Tech strong consideration. As a QB at Tech you will get to show all the scouts pretty much every kind of throw a QB has to make and you will be get to show how you read a lot of secondary defenses/looks.

Well, I'm sure the UA fans are disappointed-- with all this competition new QB Casey [deleted] may not get back on the field.
Does Mustain have a chant, yet?
One game, UA co-ed fans were chanting for Casey...
" We want [deleted]! We want [deleted]! We want [deleted]! "
Is it true Casey's roomate is college teammate Brett Goode?
If Arkansas signs their committments and gets a couple that are committed elsewhere to change as may very well happen, Mustain's chant may be "We're #1".

It's actually cool, because we still have Taylor Potts, who is a better recruit and our first target anyway. We got a 4 star WR as soon as he left so....
