I can't stand our first round opponents this year..Dallas Molina? Not the scariest of teams to play seeing as almost that whole district will be 3-7..
This district was our first round game in 97 when we lost to Katy for the
Div. 1 state championship. We played Skyline that year, and they were
threatening to knock us out like S. Garland last November. We switched
from our relatively new spread offense to the power I in the 4th, and
steam rollered them. That was GAME DAY coaching.
We could possibly play Carter twice. Did Lake Highlands get tired of us? That's become a rivalry, and I hope it comes back. LakeHighlandsPony might agree.

We were scheduled to play Lake Highlands.
But them being put in an 8 team district ruined that. They're now playing Southlake Carroll (talk about getting harder).
I dunno. The Dallas ISD isn't what it used to be, even in 97.
I rather play South Garland than Dallas Molina, I'll tell you that. I liked playing the Garland schools. We had formed that Metroplex vs Country Boy (which is so stereotypical) type of rivalry. We packed our Williams Stadium, North Garland's home stadium. We packed our Memorial, 10 minutes from Garland. While both North and South Garland had a combined attendance of maybe 2,000. (We had a combined attendance of atleast 20,000).
Lake Highlands was time to get rid of. We have played them for 10 years. We're 7-3 againist em, losing by only 1 point in those 3 losses. Once again, Lake Highlands like the DISD isn't what it used to be.
The 5 games we have now will no doubt help us down the road.

Is there even a remote connection between the schools?
This is on the Off Topic board...You can post anything here.
There are a lot of Longview fans in the Dallas FW area and alot of Longview Grads that went to SMU or are fans of SMU. A lot of them don't get to see the schedule so I usually keep them up to date whats going on over here in East Texas.
