I assume that these guys will no longer be commitments for next year's class?

There's no reason at all to assume that.
I trust any guys bright enough to choose SMU are also bright enough to see who the new coach is and THEN make a decision.

I think the majority of current players that are considering transferring should also make their decision after it is announced who is taking over for Tubbs.

Or maybe our new coach can get us in the running for some new talent, but these guys look and sound talented from everything I have heard.

What is happening with these two commitments for next year. I still haven't seen anything anywhere about them. Do the fit into Doherty's plans. Do they have the skills that he is looking for? Comments from knowledgeable board members would be appreciated!

Probably wants to explore schools where the coach's future doesn't hinge on the next cup of laundry detergent he hands out.

Good god, let it go.
Maybe he wanted to consider schools where the coach wants him. I don't know that Coach Doherty doesn't want him, but you never know.

You could be right. I remember a thread about him in which a couple people who watched him play and gave their observations. One person compared him to Chris Reay and basically said he was not as good. Another described his play as appearing if he were extremely ill with the flu. Haven't seen him play myself, but it would not suprise me if Doherty does not like all the same recruits that Tubbs did.

Don't bet on it. Not until SMU comes clean (Cheer would help) and tells us what the firing violations were.
