James Dickey?

Is Coach Dickey considered a candidate? What do you think? We love the guy but we know he won't stick around as an assistant forever. In fact, he said he would stay at OSU until his daughter graduated HS. She graduates this year.

I highly doubt it. Too many rumors around that guy. They might all be false, but they're out there, and I just don't see SMU going near him.
Of course, now that I've said that, he'll be introduced as our new coach before lunch.

Dickey took Sutton's fall in Lexington, surfaced in Lubbock ( and had a 30-2 team) and then left (was asked to leave) after recruiting issues surfaced.

I think he's a great X&O coach, but not the reputation that SMU needs right now.
