Just found this message board.
Been over at the Mustang Maniac's site and can't stand it ... all a bunch of bandwagon people.
I haven't missed a home game since I came to school here last year and am pumped about Bennett, you can't expect instant results. It takes time.
Excited about homecoming and beating the cr@p out of LA Tech this wknd ... what are the predictions and spreads?

Re: Die Hard Fan
I can only assume the Ponies are significant underdogs, but I'm predicting an SMU win, because:
• I'm steadfastly loyal to my alma mater and its athletic teams.
• The SMU defense will get an emotional lift from the news that KG is not out for the season.
• The willingness to play BOTH Wallis and Bartel means LaTech has to prepare for a QB who can run the option and a QB who can fling the ball all over the field. LaTech has given up some points this year, and has shown a tendency to be pretty average against the run.
• The SMU defense will look at tapes of Josh McCown when he was here, and realize that Luke McCown is the same player, just a couple of years younger and without the crewcut.
• The offensive line will open up holes, and Keylon Kinacde will run for 171. When the Bulldogs stack the line to stop him, Bartel will have a pair of long touchdowns on play-action passes.
• We're due for a win, which may or may not include some breaks going our way.
• It's Homecoming - what better time for Coach Bennett to get his first win?
Final score:
SMU 27
LaTech 23

HOORAY, BEER!
Re: Die Hard Fan
My prediction is: We will win 28-19 and John Hampton and Cody Cardwell will get their 100th career receptions at SMU. The defense will continue to play hard and play havoc on Luke. Go MUSTANGS!

Re: Die Hard Fan
How mad would hte McCown family be if (I mean WHEN) we pull off the first win this weekend? First Cavan manages to run off Josh because while he's good enough to get drafted and to sign a seven-digit NFL contract, he wasn't good enough to start here. Then we get our first win against his brother's 'Dogs?
