Very nice -- thanks for the bowl bid .... although I'd like to predict a slightly different outcome, of course.

Do you think such a matchup would put more than 25,000 in the seats at AGC?

I think maybe a good SMU fan showing would be 10k...unless we get a bigger fan buzz going throughout the season, then possibly 15k...and I think BU would be underwhelmed going to Cowtown for a bowl.

I was just on campus and the 50 or so students I talked to were all EXCITED about football season. Methinks SMU can draw about 15000 in Fort Worth, or 10000 anywhere else. Baylor, meanwhile, still has a more active fan base than we do, so I think they bring 20,000 by themselves. That's 35,000 in Fort Worth, or 30,000 if the matchup happens somewhere else.

Baylor would bring 25,000 to 30,000 to a bowl. We havent been bowling since 1994 and when theres any chance of us being good the crowds show up.

One wishes both BU and SMU have great seasons. However, it would feel a bit odd to play a previous conference mate in a bowl. It just seems natural to play a "SWC" game during the regular season and not in the post season. And one would, of course, rather have a post season regardless of how odd it might feel.
