Two JUCO DT's

Post by BUS »

How many of you people would like top see two JUCO DT's come to play ar SMU next year. Two big accomplished DT's that weight around 310 each and can move.

Now understand that they may not be academically up to par with the team but with our learning center I bet they could even graduate!!

Put this on my Christmas List!

I'm all over that idea, BUS - but before we can worry about them graduating, we have to get them admitted, first. If we can get them in, I bet we can get them to graduate.

Got any JUCO DT candidates in mind?

Did find the JUCO All American list that gives 4 D-Linmen for first and second string awards.
One is from Blinn College and he is 6'3" and 295. Have no idea about grades. There were those eight that must be pretty good but then we're back to admittance.

I hear the search for JUCO linemen has extended to Oklahoma and Kansas. Anyone know if that's true, or if someone's blowing smoke at me?

With all the changes that have happened over the past two years I could see a JUCO being admitted. Man will have to be a player and have good academic background but I do think the time is and faculty are in the right position to take this needed step.

Where is Blinn College?

Next door to A&M.
SMU's first president, Robert S. Hyer, selected Harvard Crimson and Yale Blue as SMU's colors to symbolize SMU's high academic standards. We are one of the few Universities to have school colors with real meaning...and we just blow them off.
