The DMN sports department has shed about 14 from its staff including the talented yet malicious Gerry Fraley. The announcements came on Thursday. If I remember correctly, Kevin Blackistone took it as well as Cathy Harasta.
From what I gather, the last day of work for everyone who accepted is Sept. 15. They will get their lump check on Sept. 29. Overall, the DMN got about 100 to take the offer.
Apparently, Fraley's wife is a finalist for a job in St. Louis. Because of his baseball knowledge, Fraley can go wherever he wants.
Anyone going to miss him? I won't.
