Finding the Diamond M in odd places...

While I think my variation of a Diamond M is kinda cool (mainly because it is also similar to the Superman symbol), I have noticed that the traditional Diamond M has shown up in pop culture several places.

The new Blue Beetle sports the Diamond M on his chest.

Transformers had these things called mini-cons that had a diamond M symbol instead of the normal Transformer head.

In Batman: The Animated Series, The Demon gets controlled by being branded on the forehead with a DiamondM.

Notice any other Diamond M's in random places? Just thought this might be a fun waste of time.

I noticed that all the Diamond M examples were associated with Power and Evil.

Does anyone have a picture of the old Como Motel sign in Richardson? The new sign doesn't use the diamond m anymore.

I can only find a pic of the new sign. Go to www.wikipedia.org and put in 'Richardson, Texas' in the search and there's a pic of the Como Motel.

In case any of you have not been in the new administration building, that place has a lot of Diamond M's in it. The bathroom tiles are the best.

If you ever head to the Balcony Club (attatched to the Lakewood Theater) you will find a Diamond M above the men's room urinal. Carved by one Karl Richter. I wonder if old Karl posts on this board...

Anyhow, I met him there for a drink one day (it was a spot I used to hit often) - I said to him, "Mey man, you ever noticed the Diamond M over the urinal?" He said: "Yup. I'm the one who put it there."

Time to start tagging dumpsters I guess.

... and methinks we will be seeing it live in the Super Dome on Saturday.
