With all due respect, Ted and Steve are firmly in the "If Bennett leaves, SMU restarts at ground zero" camp. They really don't want Phil to go. I fear they may be reading too much into the AD's blog.

Why do players say it doesn't look good? Do they have some sort of indication or is this just speculation because a meeting was called?

Maybe Orsini will give Bennett some cash to hire some real assistants...

we should gather some discarded head coaches and put em at coordinator, someone with legit offensive firepower or brickwall defenses

I second that notion if that's the case
1) Burns must go first and foremost. Please replace him with Ramon Flannigan or Darell Dickey.
2) Get a special teams coach
3) New OL coach
4) New DC
AND CAN SOMEONE please tell me what Jerry Bennett brings to the table besides being PB's brother. I'm not a fan of nepotism.
