According to the DMN Richard Bartel has decided not to play baseball in the Reds organization this year. Great news for Pony fans. Bartel, 6-5, is now poised to takeover as the offensive leader. I am out.

That's Great News. The quarterback has to spend as much time as possible with his teammates, not only to establish the timing with his receivers, but also to further develop the comraderie with his teammates, and establish himself as the undisputed leader of the offense. This move can only be beneficial for the offense and for the team overall. Nice move by Bartel.

If he wanted to, could he return to baseball after he's done with football? Think a baseball team would give a kid another chance?
