Where Are The Defensive Tackles?

Post by thefamousguy »

Why do we only get commitments from defensive ends with size and no defensive tackles. It would be nice to have some depth at the tackle spot. Having Haywood and Bonds was huge last year. I would like to see us land some tackles with size. 8)

IF we can't get a highly recruited defensive tackle with size, strength, and speed, we are better off taking a smaller DE/DL with the above qualities and hope some will grow into the position. Rodgers was certainly an undersized defensive player in high school who grew/developed into the position. Talented DL Adrian Haywood was only about 260 when he signed with SMU two years ago but he put on alot of weight while here without loosing his quickness.........That said I am still hopeful we sign a talented JC DL who will be able to help next year's team.
