Excellent pickup for the Mustangs and another one of Stallion's key recruits list. 2-1 on the day ain't bad in recruiting. Let's get a few more. I do believe this signals that this recruiting class will be measureably better than the last two years. Still pretty much middle of the road for CUSA though. We need to move to the top. There still more on that list that could do it.

Hopefully, he has gotten a little quicker since he ran the 5.8 forty time listed in Texas Football.

just for accuracy sake-Brooks is quoted as saying that Kansas Assistant Coach Tim Beck told Brooks that Kansas was almost full. Not sure if the Kansas scholarship was still availiable or if he was just being pressured. Still a very nice commitment for SMU.

Correction: since you are so worried about accuracy. SMU only bothered to "offer" 4% of the Texas Top 100. We got outrecruited for the other 96 though unless you are living in fantasy land. But I won't include those players in the calculations although it would further increase the TCU scoreboard. SMU doesn't have to recruit a long list of Texas Top 100s to win CUSA.

I agree, atleast on paper, this class is shaping up to be better than the last two years, a LOT better than last years. Not to knock any of the kids that committed to us, but many of the kids that filled out the rest of our class last year (grayshirts) are "sleepers" at best. Looks like this year we aren't reaching as much to fill out our class
