Do you have plans this weekend?

Post by BUS »

Come to the Wild Flower Festival in Richardson. Friday - Sunday you can shop, eat and HEAR lots of music. BoDiddley, Jo De Messina, FogHat, Grand Funk Railroad, Shooter Jennings, Better than Exra, The Romantica, Eddie Money and many more.

The weather should be great to catch some sun and listen to music. BEvERages are for sale. This is at the NORTEL campus next to the Eiserman Center just north of Campbell on Central.

Hope to see some of you there.

Bo Diddly had a stroke this week while perfoming in Iowa. He was last reported in a hospital in Neb. I doubt he will perform anytime soon. The other groups sound well worth the effort, though.

Grand Funk? The wild, shirtless lyrics of Mark Farner? The bong-rattling bass of Mel Schacher? The competent drum work of Don Brewer?

What is bong-rattling? Would not the water quell any vibration?

Mark Farner is not with the current iteration. Which is significant.

Nice. I may be the only one here who got the reference, but I sure appreciate the effort.

I only remember it as my tobacco pipe was not around when I watched that Simpsons episode.

Blog is on hiatus. I have been around. Not much to talk about, but you have to take advantage of any opportunity to throw out a Simpsons' line about Grand Funk Railroad.
