very interesting scenarios...here's the link...its definitely going to take some real serious back-office arm twisting, discussions, promises & out-and-out begging for us to make some serious enroads into a better conference.

Possibilities from the 'Re-alignment Board' ...
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!
For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

Re: Possibilities from the 'Re-alignment Board' ...
Unfortunately it's a pretty depressing, but realistic, read. It describes us as a "once proud program", and doesn't prognosticate any upgrading in possible realignments.
What makes it even more depressing is it lists UTEP as a "long shot" to join the Big XII should Missouri leave. Same for TCU.

Re: Possibilities from the 'Re-alignment Board' ...
Although TCU could be a long shot for Big 12 expansion, UTEP would not be considered ahead of SMU in any such scenario by any of the teams in the Big 12. The Big 12 is stable though and I see no expansion or defectors at this point. Next year is a very criticial year for SMU to have success on the field and court without any recruiting violations etc to once again raise that ugly issue of days gone by. Mr. Coleman- Keep your eyes open and your powder dry!!!!!!!
Re: Possibilities from the 'Re-alignment Board' ...
depressing? That is obviously some yo yo who has a URLs opinions. Nothing more. Somebody spent a bunch of time compiling impressions and opinions but Utep would never be considered by CUSA before SMU. It will simply be a numbers game and most of it hinges on TCU. If they are available, the reshuffling will be a good thing for SMU.
