Looks like SMU golf has made the national tourney

I know this is the wrong section to post this GREAT piece of info....but here goes:

SMU men's golf team shot 4-over par today and are currently tied for 6th place at 6 over fro the tourney. It does appear that no team has much shot at cathcing us and, thus, SMU will qualify for the National Championship tourney. Freshman Will Dodson led the way for the Ponies. Oklahoma State won the regional at 8 under par.

Way to go 'Stangs!!!!

Currently, according to the NCAA Leader Board, (unless it's screwed up) we are tied for 7th...but that is still great!!!

Congratulations to Coach Loar and his team. He has done a good job. Let's hope he stays around after his son graduates. The Mustangs went to the NCAA tournament in 2001 and made the cut to the final fifteen teams, which UT failed to do. This year, several teams that had been ranked higher than us all year, one of which was our friends down the turnpike, failed to make the tournament.
