conference shakeup - money perspective

Last time this happened, we didn't want to pay 4 million dollars to join C-USA.

Would their asking price decrease if some of the big guns of the conference leave for the Big East? Is it really worth that kind of money to join a conference that no longer has Louisville, Cincy, etc...

I would think C-USA's asking price would go down. Harder to sell membership into a conference without some of its top horses (although things would improve greatly with a bunch of Mustangs.)
