New verbal commit

Post by 1411 »

FYI, Paris, TX. H.S. CB-KR Ladarrius Gunn (5'9 163 4.33/40) has verbally committed to SMU this evening to play collegiate football. Gunn chose SMU over Idaho (offer) along with strong interest from Oklahoma State, Arkansas, Iowa, Tulsa, UTEP and North Texas. Gunn possesses 10.5/100 m speed and ran a 4.33/40 this past February to record the second fastest off-season 40 time in PHS history (behind current Mustang Jessie Henderson's 4.30/40). He is a 2-time All-District CB and has averaged over 30 yards per KO Return each of the past two years. Gunn becomes the fourth PHS player in the Class of 2008 to verbally commit, joining Stephen Good (Oklahoma) and Jordan Fields & Keon Furtch (both to Texas A&M). He was recruited by Eric Roark. If you guys love Jessie, you will love Ladarrius (or "L.D." as he is more commonly known). Expect confirmation from Rivals, Scout, DMN, etc. to follow very soon.

Well, there is a certain amount of panic running around this board. Oh, my god, we have no commitments. Let's shut the program down.

I'm not here to win popularity contests. I'm here to state my views. And if like them, great. And if you don't, tough darts.

I remember a lot of folks chuckling the last time we signed a short speedster from Paris -- now he's considered one of the best returners in the nation. If that 4.33 is right, I'll take those guys all day long.
Welcome to SMU!

You should remember that line yourself when criticizing others' views.

I don't remember any one chuckling at signing Henderson. Everybody was extremely happy. Revisionist history.

So, if you don't remember something happening a certain way, then it must be revisionist history...hmmm...interesting thought process.

If their views aren't my views, then their views are just flat out wrong.

the only reason you haven't been wrong YET is because you change your alias every season. Who were you before your disasterous Big10Flop.
