Tulsa's Starting RB Injured

Post by Stallion »

Tennial injured
TU senior running back Courtney Tennial was sidelined by what appeared to be an ankle injury during Monday evening’s practice.

Tennial was taken to the Case Athletic Complex and later emerged on crutches and sat on a bench with his leg and ankle bandaged.

Head coach Todd Graham was not specific about the nature of the injury, but Tennial indicated tearfully that it could be related to the Achilles tendon.

The Achilles tendon connects the calf to the heel and is the strongest and thickest tendon in the body.

An injured Tennial would leave junior Tarrion Adams as the team’s only experienced running back.

Hope he's healthy enough to come back ... Nov. 4 (we play them the week before). Rival or not, that's a brutal injury if his Achilles really is torn.

Incredibly debilitating and painful injury. I hope he gets better in 6 months.

On a related note, Todd Graham is a jerk for what he did to Rice. I hope the Owls kick Tulsa's #ss.

Yeah, it sucks how he took them to a bowl after 90 years or whatever it was. How dare he.

with some luck here and there for some different folks, the stars could line up that way. Fran lays an egg this year, PB's Mustangs have an out of their mind season and...

well we shouldn't get ahead of ourselves I suppose.

Are you saying, PB goes to TAM and we get Fran?

Sorry, but I will pass on that deal.
Just send 'da money.

Amen. Agreeing to that long extension and bolting THE NEXT DAY for Tulsa? Bush league all the way.
I hope Rice kicks Tulsa around, almost as much as I hope we kick them around.

It says he AGREED to an extension — that part is accurate — and Rice trumpted the agreement to alums, media, etc. Silly Rice officials thought he actually would honor the excention to which he agreed.

This was the Tulsa fans' spin at the time, but it's simply wrong. He agreed to the extension in December and signed it that Monday. He said so himself at the C-USA Media Blitz. That said, I think the Rice community have largely moved on and are now just looking forward to the season. I've heard our players had an excellent summer and should be bigger - stronger - faster than last year.

On the original subject, I hate to see anybody injured and wish Tennial a fast and full recovery.

Agreed - hope Tennial is OK.

And I'm not surprised Rice fans have moved on. It's a great school with generally classy fans.

And I still hope they beat the crap out of Tulsa, and if they have the chance, run it up.
