Men's BB receives 2 commitments
Per the DMN
SMU has received oral commitments from two basketball players from the class of 2008. Jarred DuBois, a 6-3 point guard from Westchester High in Los Angeles, and Christopher Clarke, a 6-9 forward from Orchard Lake (Mich.) St. Mary's Preparatory, said they have committed to play basketball at SMU. Oral commitments are nonbinding. The first day they can sign a letter-of-intent is Nov. 14.
Clarke's name has been mentioned on this board. But if there was any question the legitimacy of it, this should put that to rest.
Question: Aren't we after a kid from Kimball?

Just to let you know, I didn't realize Indianmustang posted the same thing. Somebody answered that question with a yes -- if we can mix in a name that would be good too -- although it seems unclear where that stands.
And jtstang, think Mike Walker.
I talked with Herman Hudson last week, and he said the coaches were really happy with how Walker's summer went.

I'm glad to hear that. As much as I admire Killen's work ethic, he just does not have the skills to run the point in D-1. I hope they get him to work on his shot and try him at the 2.
On the Kimball kid, the name is not as important to me as the fact that Doherty is at least trying to rebuild local bridges that were burned with the Tubbs firing.
