Good to see DeMyron Martin popped an 80-yarder. There's some speed in the secondary, so it sounds like the talk of Martin's improved conditioning — not to mention his good health — is accurate.

How well does that bode for the vaunted mustang run defense this year? Is that guy from Houston gonna have an even bigger field day? Hopefully he graduated, but he went to UH so I doubt it.

Still there- most exciting player in CUSA. He was only a Junior last season. I think he is from the DFW area actually, Denton High School maybe?

For those of you who may have already forgotten what UofH's Jackie Battle did to the Mustangs at Ford Stadium last year. Watch and review.

actually the 5 positions up the gut of the defense are empty. That highlite could well be our worst nightmare come true.

Jackie Battle was a Senior last year and graduated. He is actually in camp with the Cowboys and ran for 25-35 yards in the Cowboys opener vs the Colts.

Anthony Alridge is the speedster, #22, that burned us a couple other times. For a refresher, here are his SMU/UH highlights:

Here is Alridge's return on the opening kickoff of the season last year vs Rice. Unrelated to SMU but I love watching how fast this kid is. Speed is certainly not the reason he only goes 75 yards on this one.
