I am really thankful for NTS today, they're distracting me from that meltdown on Monday. I read the story in todays DMN about how much NTS hates us, and this rivalry. What rivalry? I have been a SMU fan (non-alum) for 38 years, and I've never considered them a rivalry. NTS is college footballs version of Al Qaeda.
They blame SMU for not getting into CUSA........If their facilities were up to par, and their overall programs were strong enough, don't you think Presidents and AD's from other Universities would deem them as bringing something viable to the table? Could Pres. Turner be that powerful? NTS needs to be responsible for themselves and stop blaming others for their failures. Such as that FOUTS FIELD, my gosh what a dump. Yeah, it's mean old SMU's fault NTS plays in an old, crumbling, small stadium built on the exit ramp of I-35, with a track around the field. You're enrollment and alumni base is TRIPLE of SMU, why are you still playing in that sewer hole? You guys will turn (green) looking around the SMU campus and boulevard, and your response will be something negative towards Highland Park, people with money, nice cars, etc....The radical muslims hate America because of its prosperity. Discrimination goes both ways greenies. The lazy guy in the soup line, loves to blame "the man" for his failures. I hope you greenies don't see visions of the Twin Towers when you see Dallas Hall Saturday.
NTS = Al Qaeda

Al Qaeda, that is a bit much sir, and a kind of a sick insult. When you read the paper remember their writers are trying to hype and over hype things to get people reading and reacting. I like SMU and for that matter I don't think there is a college team I don't like. Some fans on the other hand especially those at a Louisiana school whose name does not need to be mentioned need to really get a grip. Overall football is just a friendly competition between Universities.
I look forward to hopefully a good injury free game this Saturday between our two schools. See you Saturday.
Go Mean Green!!!

Several reasons....
1) We have only recently acquired the land at Eagle Point, where our new stadium WILL be built.
2) Fouts cannot be renovated due to the water table at that location. However, we are putting lipstick on that pig with bathroom remodeling, fresh paint, and a couple other facelift projects.
3) Our fundraising for the stadium is now underway and we expect an announcement on ground-breaking in the next 12-18 months.
In the interim, we have built a new girl's softball stadium, a soccer stadium, a tennis stadium, the athletic village, and top-notch rec center. The campus has also been building new halls, an astronomy observatory, and many other upgrades. We're proud of the changes at UNT. Finally, our athletic facilities have been getting a major overhaul since Rick Villarreal came on board as AD, and the new stadium will be the crown jewel of his achievements.
Good luck tomorrow to both teams. I think it's going to be a more entertaining game than you think!
