Seating for Arkansas State:

Post by Special_Delivery_Smu_Fans »

The link below shows some nice shots of the perspective you get from the different seating inside Arkansas State Indian Stadium. Roll over a section with your mouse it shows you what it looks like from those particular seats/sections.

Click link below and roll mouse over sections of stadium:

Note: Many of us will be sitting behind the SMU bench in the general admission section even though our tickets may show a different section. Lets all try to sit behind the Mustang bench and make some noise that our players will hear.

So say again what part of the general admission section is behind the SMU bench. What time are you guys going to be there to get these seats?

Sections R/S/T appear to be right behind the SMU bench so we are gunning to be in there which is lower level east side general admission.

The band will have thier spot marked in the middle. This is also the student side....fyi.

I would advise you guys to stay away from the first 8-10 rows from your bench. We have some rowdy students that sit there and heckle the opposing teams......not a good choice if you have the wife or kids with you.....it gets bad sometimes.

Please note guys and gals, we have been warned. I seriously appreciate this. Anyone going to that section first 8-10 should not complain if you are subjected to verbal abuse. It happens. Keep your kids out. If you want to confront, go for it, but lets keep it to verbal. Show a little class. Belittle them with manners. And after the win just walk away with a smile.

And be careful kids. At Tech they throw tortillas. At ASU it is Armadillo shells.

And our band and students are not allowed to sit behind the opposing team bench. It is a STUPID STUPID STUPID CUSA rule.
Just send 'da money.

They did that to us in basketball. the Sun Belt has this flawed idea that home fans are supposed to be nice to visiting fans... its a joke

In general ASU students are not bad, but there are a few frats that get down there, and when they get druunk, they will heckle. I mean expect to be heckled, even made fun of, but we arent like LSU or anything like that

it helps people forget when their wife/sister lectured them for leaving the toilet seat up in the double wide...

See I can do Arkansas humor too...

You might want to stay out of the student section because of the heckling, and because the students are paying athletic fees to get those lower seats on the east side. The view is better from higher up anyways.

Here's a pic of the student side from last weekend's game that never happened.
You can see the concentration of red t-shirts along the bottom level....that's the danger zone.

You want heckling you should have been here for the 55-9 game. When was the last time SMU fans could take out that much frustration in such a one sided game...FOR us. We got some very good licks in. Kudos to the ASU coaching staff not one player taunted back or responded. They really kept their composure the whole game.

Well you go any place with thousands of emotionally charged people and you can encounter jerks who will be repulsive, so I offer no promises that you will have a great time. On the east side its mostly students in there so who knows what they may say.

Hopefully you'll get a good Bleacherkicker experience. They sit on the student side in the upper deck which is all metal and on key plays just start stomping their feet. If they get some folks to join in it gets freakin loud. I've been told that at least one coach has complained thinking in it was the band using snare drums.
