Not that it has any credibility at all, but a Dallas poster on the UTEP forum has intimated that Fran could be "short list" material for SMU HC. Not that UTEP doesn't have their own fish-sorry, I mean chili rellenos-to fry. They might possibly want to talk to Phil B for Defensive Coordinator. UTEP gave up 8 touchdowns today to 1-7 Rice.
Fran would be worth considering, problem is the stench is a little too fresh. The guy looks beaten down. He needs some time off before jumping into another situation.
no way... that would be the worst choice ever.... what has he done since he left TCU?????? (CHIRP CHIRP) exactly, nothing... he sucks as a head coach. i would rather have PB's big brother R.C.

he did a phenomenal job at TCU. And at New Mexico before that. facts are facts.
geez, he built Tcu not Fat Patt. Alabama was nothing on his record, otherwise A&M wouldnt have wanted him so bad. and your comment about a&M being better is nothing but conjecture.
fran is a [deleted].... he is not a man of his word. you cant trust the guy. i was recruited by him, along with some of my other teammates, when he talks [deleted] comes out of his mouth... "I'm not leaving TCU....."
Fran did not recruit L.T. Before we start throwing Coaching candidates to the curb let's see what we got. Fran would be better than any Coach in the last 18 years. Right now I'm excited that Barnett is even willing to give SMU a look.
