Not suggesting him for the job (probably wouldn't be a success here), but the UCLA coach did briefly play for the Cowboys.

Phill Bennett is a better head coach that Karl Dorrell. He is hands down the worst head coach at a major school in division 1

He had a great year a couple of years ago, didn't he?
He also has beaten USC. Could be worse.
Rather have him than Kragthorpe or Uncle Gus, any day.

And while we're on the subject, there's talk out west that UCLA officials are planning to can Dorrell and make a huge (read: "$$$$$") run at Mike Leach.

I played in a foursome with Orsini and Kragthorpe at Firewheel two weeks ago, but I didn't know he was a candidate then so I didn't ask them about it. Krags has a horrid short game, but can polish off some tall boys on the course.

Again, Phil Bennett is a better coach than Karl Dorrell. Did they go 10-2 a few years ago, yes. They also got blown out by 40 points to a 3 win Arizona team. They did beat USC and then got embarassed by FSU in their Bowl game. They got blown out by Utah and lost to Notre Dame this year.

He is getting fired and UCLA is going to make a run at Steve Marucci. Mike Leech is far down on their list. They like Marucci, Chris Peterson from Boise State, Norm Chow, former player Rick Neuhisel....then maybe Leech
