I just hope whoever is hired, it isn't another "trust me" coach (i.e. one with no real track record or has zero name recognition) .

I voted other-because I'm not more than 50% sure any of the other candidates would consider SMU -at least right now-except perhaps Barnett and he apparently has been eliminated. Now if we wait and Bowden and perhaps Franchione aren't offered another job then maybe I'd change my opinion.

I agree with you 100%, too bad Barnett was cut. Never heard offically though that that was the case

I trust the ponyfans who reported Turner's comments made about Barnett directly to them. Could change his mind.

Barnett has been eliminated according to posters that have talked to Turner. I'm sure that they are quoting him truthfully, but that does not mean that it was a final decision. I still wouldn't be surprised if he is still under consideration unless a final decision has definitely been made. Stranger things have happened before.
