Navy Hires Johnson Assistant as HC

Post by PonyFanBCLA »

Not that it is overly relevant. But the background on the new Navy HC is interesting. Possibly the first Polynesian D-1 HC. The last paragraph of the story though has a quote from a Navy QB, "I think it's a great move. Personally, I'm happy because we've got a coach who really knows the option," junior quarterback Kaipo-Noa Kaheaku-Enhada said.

And I thought Chris FuamatuMaafala was a mouthful.

I had forgotten, but the Navy AD was one of the finalists for the SMU job. I don't think he hired Johnson. I Wasn't thrilled with him because he didn't do a very good job at Houston.

Gladchuk was also the AD at Boston College. I think he did a good job there. He also got Navy an exclusive deal with CSTV. I believe all the Middies' games are on CSTV, when their not on NBC playing ND, CBS playing Army, or on ESPN.
