40 days and counting until we go to Lubbock and beat Texas Tech! We have to have a STRONG showing of Mustangs for our first game this season despite the fact that it's a 'road game'!

Roll call starts now! Who else is going? I'm first on the list!

By the way, if anyone else is flying out to Lubbock from Dallas, I hope you're on the 9:50 a.m. flight out of Love Field on Friday, Aug. 29th. It's gonna ROCK with some other Mustangs and me! Get ready to party!

An SMU football game without the Mustang Band (formerly 96 Guys and A Doll!...still love that tag!) is like a day without sunshine! Glad to hear that the Diamond "M" will be there! Are ya'll going on a bus or a plane? If it's a plane, I hope it's mine! (Leaves from Dallas-Love Field at 9:50 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 29th!) We're gonna ROCK! GO MUSTANGS!

If you buy the tickets from Tech, I think they start at $10. I'd be more worried about getting to Lubbock and back.

You may want to call the ticket office to be sure (806-742-TECH). Be sure to tell them you're an SMU fan so they'll put you in the visitor section.

I'm there and taking my two younger daughters with me so that we can make faces at my oldest daughter, who attends Tech (I know, it sucks). Go Mustangs, Wreck Tech !

AND, we are all on that plane MrMustang !, Southwest Airlines may not be ready for this ! ! !

Can't wait, and it is GREAT NEWS that the band will be there. I LOVE THE BAND and they know (even if they do not know who I am) that I am a "BIG FAN".

I'm such a fan of The Mustang Band, I've been listening to a tape of their old recordings from the days of "96 Guys and a Doll!" for the last two weeks! LOVE THAT "BIG BAND" SOUND! GLENN MILLER! TOMMY DORSEY! MUSTANG BAND ROCKS! And, of course, I've been singing "Varsity" and "The SMU Loyalty Song", too! Folks here in Houston who see me driving along and singing think I'm strange but I DON'T CARE! GO MUSTANGS!
