Like many of UTEP's transfers they will have a big impact on the game when they play SMU. Meanwhile, SMU will be trotting out true freshman and redshirt freshman that are not ready to play. Advantage: UTEP.

The oft traveled Clarence Ward! He was at LaMarque and helped lead them to a State championship as a JR. He got into arguements with the coaches there and was removed from the team. He transferred to Pensacola Fla and helped them win a championship then moved back to LaMarque to graduate.

He committed to LSU, Ala and finally signed with FlaSt for the 2005 season. He redshirted and decided to transer to Tech. Had a shoulder injury and couldn't make it in Tech so went to Santa Clara JC. In March of this year he committed to Arizona, but now is going to UTEP.

This is beyond ridiculous with this kid. A tremendous talent for sure, but definitely has issues.

Right, but if he's a DB and transfers to a C-USA school other than SMU, he'll get touted by someone here like he's the next Darrell Green or Ronnie Lott.

probably you if he does anything like the last 2 UTEP transfers that combined for 408 yards in Total Offense and almost singlehandedly beat SMU.

I am totally indifferent about what other teams do, but you seem to care more about them than SMU. Please do us all a favor and go "support" some other team. OK?

Have you already got the "I told you so" post written? I hope you have to delete it.

Look "blinder boy" I really don't give a damn whether you want to stick your head in the sand and sing Varsity. There are winners and losers to every game on our schedule. Maybe you ought open up your eyes. Life might make more sense. Do you got any SMU recruiting news? Why the hell did you look at this thread then. You are just a one of hundreds of SMU Cheerleaders that have refused to deal with reality for 20 years. I ain't going anywhere-keep checking in-I'll be the one giving balanced, fair analysis of SMU athletics based on reality not fantasy.

The people who criticize Stallion for his negativity conveniently ignore the fact that SMU has absolutely stunk over the past 20 years and that maybe, just maybe, his 'pessimistic' posts are a reflection of these failures.

Blinder boy, wow, that really hurts. Maybe you should go to the Fox News Channel. They are fair and balanced as well.

I hate losing just as much as you do, and I know why we suck - doing everything half assed, at best, for 20 years. However, I believe that is changing before our eyes. But I honestly don't care who UTEP, Oklahoma State or whoever else you think does things so well. Is UTEP in a bowl, and OSU with a billion dollars from T-Bone Pickens was 6-6, right?

What was UTEP's record with all of these stud transfers?

No doubt transfers and juco's are needed here, but, they are not the be-all-end-all. Houston, as we have been reminded many times, has more transfers and juco's than tics on a dog, but they were still physically dominated by mid major TCU. UTEP is another one that we have been pounded with about their massive amount of juco's, and many wonderful transfers. There is little doubt UTEP wouldn't have beaten a 1 win SMU team without them, but it didn't provide a great difference in their season. They won only 3 more games....yes, they sucked too, even with a roster bursting at the seams with juco's and transfers.
