I'm sticking to Jones, as I believe he would make a bigger splash and have a bigger impact on changing the model given his rebel style.

My vote is definitely not for Gary Patterson, but I find it interesting that no one has selected him in the poll yet, even though he has done souch a great job for froggy high and just to [deleted] them off. :lol:

No way Patterson is coming across town. Martz is an interesting option (can or will he recruit?).

PS: Hayden Fry is happily retired in Nevada. I wish SMU could get him to help with the search. His coaching tree is ridiculously good.

Is there another "Gary Patterson" than the one coaching TCU.

This made me laugh so hard I spilled my drink, but then I thought surely they must be referring to someone else. Moving down from TCU to SMU is like moving from Top 25 football to a 3A high school.

In the past two years he has had official offer from: Minnesota, KSt, Nebraska and Georgia Tech......and he told them all "NO"

Gary Patterson never had an offer from Nebraska. He MIGHT have been contacted by the search firm, but never even got an interview. I don't recall his name ever being mentioned with Georgia Tech either. They definitely never made an offer. You are out of your mind.
