I don't see this as good news at all. Contact between Jones/Steinberg and the UH folks at this point sound like another counter-offer.
I hope that's not the case. I hope they're just trying to get the contract release and work out some of those details. However, it seems to me that SMU would be involved in that more than Jones/Steinberg. But maybe I'm wrong.
