I'll go with one of his best - 3 star CB Steven Christian from Sacramento. Rationale is that he was a former commitment to Stanford but he wasn't accepted for admission(Grades are fine with a reported 3.85). Just committed to Hawaii 3 weeks ago and his recruiting Coach was Gregg MacMakin. Plus he isn't from Hawaii. SMU seems like a closer fit to Stanford than to Hawaii for a kid with great academics and someone who was interested in the Stanford challenge. Offered by Nevada, Wyoming, Villanova, Hawaii and at least athletically by Stanford.
With Darrell Scott looking like a strong possibility to commit to Texas, I would hope that JJ speaks with Tre Newton in the next couple of weeks. I am sure there will be Carroll resentment but the kid is talented.
This is going to be fun to watch & see if the Jedi can get any committments to switch schools, especially UNT & TCU.
I would think most QB's & WR's in the area & around the state really took notice of what happened yesterday
I'm not sure how you predict what an 18 yr old boy will do so I'm going with Riley Dodge
I'm still hoping for some defensive JUCO help. Being that he really has been recruiting California etc. hard for Hawaii this year, there has got to still be some quality players out there JJ has his eyes on that can come in and help provide immediate depth for our defense etc this spring.
There is also, in the Rivals JUCO Top 50 National list, a QB from California that is a Rivals 3 Star guy that has "not signed yet" and lists Hawaii as a school of interest.
