was a backup until the starter hurt his collar bone in the 3rd game of the season. Took over and did very good. When starter came back they split time and created a two headed monster. Gamso is a big 6'5 qb that could throw it pretty good where the starter was 6'1 and a dual threat guy that could throw it as well. The starter is heading to Arkansas to play baseball as an outfielder so that should show you the type athlete he was. But that is the scoop on Gamso for ya.
Gamso is the more pure thrower and would be a potential fit for the JJ offense. He is tall and used to the spread - pretty accurate and throws well downfield. Safe to say the Scots would not have made it to the finals without him.
he probably moved smu up his list since JJ was hired
Not to get off track here, but when was the last time Southern Miss was on a list with those other schools?
GREAT POINT! I'm thinking if he's seriously looking at Brown, Yale and Duke and he went to HP the grades aren't going to be much of a problem. There should be more HP players at SMU anyway.

I can personally attest based on my own experience that going to HP certainly does not automatically equate to good grades. I wasn't a football player though, so maybe there's a difference.
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Chances are since he went to HP he has the grades.
<--- means i was being sarcastic.... as in: look at the other schools he is considering, he must have the grades to get into SMU if he think he can get in there!
