Wish those were our regular uniforms.

Anyone got a picture? They were sweet.

Nope. Those are our regular unis. And I don't think that's from the Tulsa game.

The jersey pictured isn't from the Tulsa game. The Tulsa jerseys were throwbacks from the team's 1956 Final Four appearance.

I thought the uni's against Tulsa were tryout jerseys. Absolutely painstakingly plain. Terrible.

I am thrilled to hear they were throwbacks! Once a year, will be enough of those things.

I guess the saying "to each his own" fits here, because I thought they were awesome!

I'm old school so naturally I liked them.
I also liked how some of the players wore their socks up to their knees.
Only thing missing were the Chuck Taylors.

Good point !

I did like the uni's & I did like the effort.
They bring that type of effort to the court the rest of the year & things will turn around for us.

Hopefully head football coach June Jones will do something similar with the Mustangs for the '08 season! <hint, hint>

So let me get this straight:

1. We decide to wear throwback unis, probably for the first time in history.

2. We don't promote the fact we're wearing throwbacks, or tell anyone why.

3. No one from SMU or otherwise is there to photograph it.

4. You can't buy the throwbacks, or bid on them in an auction fundraiser.

Is this what a Top 25 program does to promote itself?
