Jones shares his philosophy on recruiting
At Inside college hoops, June Jones talked about the types of positions he focuses on:
1. Offensive linemen
2. Defensive linemen
3. Quarterbacks
4. Cornerbacks
If I heard this right, he said he believes this is the foundation of building a solid program. I listed them as he said them. I'm sure this makes BUS happy.
In retrospect, I'm sure this is a philosophy held by many coaches. It's just that I don't recall this being shared. If Bennett tried to recruit this way, he had a funny way of showing it, especially with his linemen.
Obviously, we'll see how this works out during his tenure here.

He is saying that the foundation of a good team is its linemen. He never said that he would not address issues in need areas or pass up on a good linebacker in favor of a so so offensive tackle.

Planomustang,
I don't think that's what he is saying. He is going to recruit the best player out there. He has already recruited 5 WR's. I heard him on the radio and it just sounded like those were points of emphasis and not a hardline rule. But in general I think most coaches, players, and fans will agree that the battles are won in the trenches.

Bravo. Very well said. The men in the trenches doing the dirty work deserve much more credit than they get. Give me Dickerson and a shoddy line, and I'll show you an average to unproductive RB

Judging by these comments, I think he projects Ellison as a DE, not a LB....already 230 pounds.
So, he's got 3 players who played QB in HS (Craft, Smith, Beasley though Beasley moves to Receiver)
4 who played RB or WR in HS....Lee, Washington, Robinson, Drewery
and 4 linemen (either OL or DL)....Ellison, Robiskie, Huahulu, Emshoff
making decent progress on his targeted areas.
