Article that mentions Bo Mitchell

Post by Garret »

I'm not sure if this is supposed to go here or the football section, but I figure it is about signing day.

[quote]Record-setting quarterback Bo Levi Mitchell followed coach June Jones from Hawaii to Southern Methodist, inking with the Ponies and setting up the possibility of a Metroplex showdown of KHS alumni in years to come, with Andy Dalton already the starter at TCU.

Jones, who led Hawaii to a shot in the BCS and a 14-1 record in 2007, had the highest of praise for his new quarterback commitment.

“I have watched thousands of high school quarterback DVDs over the last 10 years and I think Bo is the most accurate passer that I had looked at on film,â€

Justin will compete for the job. starting isn't a lock according to JJ. didn't say what specifically, but apparently there are some off-field issues he needs to work out - that could mean a whole host of things, so i won't speculate as to what they are (nor should any of us)
Ok this is getting ridiculous...I agree with Dutch on THIS ONE POST by him totally

Agreed, Willis will be the starter. No worries Bo, you can become the starter your junior year.

I really don't think Willis starting is such a lock as you guys think... Good chance of it, but by no means a lock

I agree with you diamond. I am not even sure it is a lock for him to be there this spring and I doubt Mitchell is the starter after Willis

I have always found Mack Brown's approach to handling the college QB a novel one. Maybe JJ should try that in deciding who should be the QB.

Its not a lock, but my wife is in love with Justin, and if Jones unloads him, she's going to revolt.

I am sure your wife's crushes will weigh heavily on Coach Jones as he makes out his starting line-up.

I agree with others. i would guess Willis starting is no better then 50/50. jones has large opinions about QB's and he will want his own in there pretty quickly. Its just human nature.

do you think we should move JW to WR, like some were suggesting when we hired JJ?

I think JW will start, will he last the season? if he stays healthy and doesnt throw picks and fumbles. If we split the OC games and JW plays well IC, then he might start the whole year but once he struggles, i think JJ will see that as an opportunity to plug in someone else.
