Re: TT daily
That is a huge guy, but it sounds like he won't be much of a factor, at least in the SMU game. There's talk in that story of redshirting him, and if he doesn't redshirt, he has several players ahead of him on the depth chart. I'd guess the coaches will make him work off more weight before he gets on the field.

Re: TT daily
Hey Nacho, on these article links, how about a short one-sentence summary for those of us who are "selective clickers" or just plain lazy. Thanks for indulging.
It's a crappy job but someone's gotta do it.
Re: TT daily
I don't have the time for that. Thanks for the suggestion.
Re: TT daily
IMO, the only way this guy sees the field this year is if we have a rash of injuries in the OL. They'll redshirt him, get him a year in the weight room and he'll be good to go next fall.

Re: TT daily
Hey Techsan81, can you give a breakdown of the Tech offensive line?
Thanks
Thanks

TTU seeks o-line guys who can pass block but also run block, the emphasis is on protecting the passer, then being able to run block. The offense is not a power offense nor is it a so called balanced offense, it is a passing offense that creates 'balance' with short passes to the rb's rather than a hand off. It is finesse and designed to keep the opposing d off balance by working against tendicies rather than by a brutal blow at the point of attack.
Now part of the concern many see expressed about TTU's current football team is the untested, not necessarily weak, but untested defensive line...the foundation of a good defense....that can the the subject of a different thread.
Tech's O-line is a strength, it has deficiencies like all positions on all teams can be shown to have deficiencies. If I were going to voice concern about this team, the o-line would not be the position where I would start.
