New Point Guard

Post by 50's PONY »

From Mustang Maniacs and Texas Hoops Wire:

"The current basketball team at Western Texas College may be only two years old, but it's already made itself a reputation among college recruiters. Now head coach Mark Berger can boast of his program's first Division I scholarship commitment. After taking two official visits, point guard Derek Williams has made his decision and the native of Queens will be sticking around in the Lone Star State.

"Derek has decided to commit to SMU," said Berger in a voicemail to TexasHoops.com.

This past season, Williams led WTC in scoring at a 18.4 ppg clip and he garnered attention from schools such as La Salle, Santa Clara, Dayton, and UTEP in addition to SMU. He made official visits to La Salle and SMU before deciding to become a Mustang.

TexasHoops.com will have much more on this developing news story so be sure to stay tuned.

Texas Hoops Analysis: Derek is a gifted scorer who can create and score from anywhere. He is very quick with the ball, can create and finish in the paint, has a nice mid-range touch, will hit the open 3 point shot, makes good decisions with the ball, pushes it up court, plays under control and is a quick defender on the ball."

I thought someone mentioned that if we got this guy it was a big sign that we have made some changes to our policies. Is this the player that was referred to in that context?
The donkey's name is Kiki.

On a side note, anybody need a patent attorney?

I think you are right. Looks like the threads got deleted. Can't find them anywhere.

Edit: Nevermind. It is right here in the recruiting section.

Nice. :D

This thread is about to take a major left turn, but oh well.
How many songs do yall work on in the year? Don't get me
wrong, I really enjoy the band and our sporting events would
be DEAD AND BORING without the band.

But how many songs are actually on the song list? And,
how often do they change between each basketball game?

And since I attend most of the sporting events, I guess it is only
normal for me to think that I am hearing the same songs over and
over and over again.

And that joke wasn't that bad....it's all in the delivery...you must have really butchered it when you said it in your head.
