starting lineups after spring ball
who do you think it is going to be? Did the spring practices jumpstart any players at positions thta they were not playing? Obviously, qb will still be an issue in the fall camp, but i would assume that we are cemented at other positions...thoughts and depths charts would be great.

Nice to know we have depth in the secondary with Mcelroy, Banjo, Bailey and hudman (possibly). I know they are unproven, but looks like one of the most talented groups we have seen in years.

I see what you're saying. However I think the job should be Turner's to lose at this point. He's done what he is supposed to do (go to class, meetings, stay out of trouble) and by all accounts had a very nice spring. If he comes back in the fall and picks up where he left off then he deserves the right to be our QB against Rice. How long or short his leash is goes to June to decide.
Back off Warchild seriously.

Do you have some kind of inside scoop? I mean, JJ said in his chat yesterday that he anticipates Willis is coming back, JW was around - but not practicing - at least twice at the spring practices (1 reported on here, once that I saw in the final week), and Logan Turner didn't exactly blow me away in the practices or in the Spring "game". Nothing JJ has said since the suspension has led me to believe that it is anything more than temporary.
I think Willis comes back and is our QB at Rice - Turner simply isn't ready.

If JWill is back on the team in August he'll be the starter. JJ will not want to risk losing the opening game, against a conference opponent no less, with an inexperienced QB.
Turner may be impressive in practice and making the plays, but in college there is no pre-season and it'll take him several games to adapt to the speed of the game which you can't simulate in practice, and JWill already has that experince. If they were opening against Texas State, I think Turner's chances of starting may be better, but not against Rice.
