I bet they don't announce anything before the trip to Africa - or is there some kind of time stipulation that says they have to announce an answer by a certain date?
You know, it's not totally unheard of that a school signs a player, who then asks for a release and does NOT get it granted. I see no reason we should grant the guy his release. He made a commitment to us, and if he's worth anything as a competitor, he shouldn't shy away from the challenge of taking on Williams and McCoy in practice. Besides, if he comes in and beats out a couple of quality point guards for some playing time, he might well remember why he signed with us in the first place. It's a great place, and he still could end up having a great career ... with the Mustangs.

if i am putting money to eliminate anyone's avatar it is certainly going to be expony's PB pic. every time i see that damn thing i cringe. might as well have an avatar of a horrific car accident.
Back to the topic. I don't know the answer to this. But given that the late signing period ended, would that suggest that we didn't let him out of his scholarship? I guess we could still let him go but it would leave us one scholarship short or we could take one of the kids who could have gone to a prep school and just bring him here.
Odd, that the story broke two weeks ago and nothing has been reported since.
