Great. Now there will be idiots with guns on both sides of the big desks in class rooms.
I'm with you on this one, JT.

This latest move by DISD administrators is not much better:

DISD Plan to Ease Grading Standards
http://www.dallasnews.com/sharedcontent ... 6cc22.html

Key Points in DISD's New Grading Policy:
•Homework grades should be given only when the grades will "raise a student's average, not lower it."

•Teachers must accept overdue assignments, and their principal will decide whether students are to be penalized for missing deadlines.

•Students who flunk tests can retake the exam and keep the higher grade.

•Teachers cannot give a zero on an assignment unless they call parents and make "efforts to assist students in completing the work."

Its like the youth sports "Everyone gets a Trophy" syndrome has invaded the classroom.

I can't wait for the completely uneducated students from DISD to get to a good college via "Top 10% rule" and instantly fail out, ending up with no degree at all. It is criminal how pathetic DISD is. More corrupt than China.
