Mustang Players Read This II

OK. I posted a statement to the players last week. They played really well against U of Houston - in fact the best 4 quarters they have played. OK - players go through the same routine - so will I. Another post - last time we should have won - this week we will!!!

To the Mustang players:

The offense looked really good - wide open play, mixing it up and getting everyone involved. McCown you were sharp with you passing. Briggs - nobody could tackle you the first or second time.
Comet - great catches!

Crowley - your kicking game was on.

Offensive line - you gave McCown more time this game - good protection.

Defensive team - you were great!!!

Mustangs, yes there were a couple of mistakes - but you played hard and left nothing on the field. I was there. I saw emotion, tought play and agressiveness. I was so proud of the team!!

Practice hard. Get the last few kinks out. Play with the same emotion and intensity this week and you will win.

Keep your focus, dig deep, play hard. Let's upset San Jose State. Your fans will be there to cheer you on. I will be the loudest!

Not so fast, MustangMom: I don'tthink it will be an upset when SMU beats the Spartans -- I EXPECT it!
