Is there an early line on next week's game?

Baylor must be horrible!
They got drilled by North Texas State last night.

Yeah, but in the Waco Trib story I posted in the other thread, it sounds like Guy Morriss really ripped them a new one. As bad as they are, they might come out breathing fire Saturday.
Bring EVERYONE you know to Waco next week. The Ponies need to deflate the Bears early, and then the PonyFans need to make ourselves heard!

Re: Baylor game
Something that made the score and game lopsided is the fact that Baylor turned the ball over on their first six possessions. That is not likely to happen again.
I think the team needs to bring their "A" game, or we could be surprised.

Are we really in a position where a loss to a Big12 team -- even a Big12 bottomfeeder -- can be called a "surprise"?

If it were any other Big XII team the answer would clearly be no. However, this past weekend (and the one before it)shows that Baylor may be in the Big XII, but is not of Big XII caliber.....not even close.
With that said, we have had trouble beating anybody in recent years, so I expect a very tough game. AS I have said in previous posts, we will have to bring our "A" game to win.

We aren't the best by far. Coach Steele (the previous "coach") drove our program into the ground for 4 miserable years. It's gonna take some time to get this thing turned around.
And North Texas Scores again!

Re: Baylor game
I like Baylor. I hope they really surprise some Big 12 teams in the future once the ship is righted. I'm torn really.. I want SMU to win this game, but I'd feel worse for Baylor if even we beat you. On the other hand, if we lose to you, I think I might just go ahead and drive my car off a bridge.

That's the spirit!
Re: Baylor game
You won't see the same team this Saturday that lost so badly to UNT. I can promise you that. First of all, BU is a horrible road team, and secondly, I know we all like to take pot shots at them, but UNT isn't that bad. Are they 38 points better than Baylor? No. But they do have a decent team this year.
This post is not meant to be a list of excuses, I just don't want you to think that Baylor is as going to be as bad as they were against UNT when we play you.

Re: Baylor game
Someone talked some sense into me. Baylor needs to go down flaaaming. WE WILL NOT BE THE ONLY TEAM BAYLOR BEATS THIS YEAR! SAY NO TO MEDIOCRITY ! Mustang Mediocrity that is. Baylor can wait til after the SMU game to get things straight.
Go Mustangs!

Re: Baylor game
The Baylor Bears couldn't beat the living poop out of a squad of incontinent, senile old men much less SMU.
