In an effort to create a more entertaining, fan-friendly experience, SMU will launch several new game presentation initiatives in 2008. To encourage fans to arrive at least 10 minutes prior to kickoff, SMU has created a new pre-game ceremony that features the Mustang Band, Mustang spirit groups, and musician Robert Lee Kobb. As SMU takes the field, Kobb and the Mustang Band will play the new original song "Pony Up!," a new battle cry of sorts for the Mustang faithful.
Kobb and his band will perform the song Thursday morning on WFAA's "Good Morning Texas" around 9 a.m.

I assume in the future we will have to name the Homecoming king and queen between the 1st and 2nd quarters.
I'm telling you, make game attendance impact rush numbers and the students (at least the large percentage of Greeks) will come. The Homecoming king and queen should be disqualified if their organizations don't attend the whole game.

don't make a fool out of yourself by criticizing music from other eras unless you were actually there to experience it especially when the roots of all the rock music you hear today came from the 50's and 60's. In any event, female background vocals, I recall, were mainly a product of the wonderful 60's. Too much tequila tonight.
