State Bar Passage Rates

Post by Dooby »

SMU law led the way among first time takers with 218 of 232 graduates that took the bar passing, or 93.97%

My law school alma mater, UofH, was second with 224 of 240, or 93.33%

Followed by:
BAYLOR 91.58%
TEXAS 90.24%
SOUTH TEXAS 89.57%
ST. MARY'S 87.23%
TECH 85.64%
Tx. Weslyan 77.10%
Tx. Southern 59.71%
At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

That's great. Baylor must be particularly disappointed with the new order since their claim to fame has always been preparation for the bar exam.
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Their problem is having to get out of Waco to find a good bar.

Wow...surprised to see Baylor not take the top spot. I remember there was no better feeling than seeing your name appear on the Bar Examiner site after hitting refresh approximatley 9,827 times throughout the day.
Let me explain something to you. I am not "Mr. Lebowski". You're Mr. Lebowski. I'm the Dude. So that's what you call me.

Here in Virginia which has a 74% pass rate (which by the way includes law readers- if Thomas Jefferson didn't have to go to law school why should anyone else-), most schools are happy with a pass rate in the 80th%. I had the joy of taking three bar exams, Virginia, DC and Florida. Florida's was the easiest. Virginia's was the hardest. DC's was easy because I just had to put in the opposite answer as for the Virginia bar exam. And in DC I got to take the Bar exam in a Bar.

I always thought Tech was the school that prided itself on its bar passage rate. I thought Baylor's claim to fame was it prepared you to litigate, even if you wanted to be a tax lawyer.

Just what we need - another %^$%#$ lawyer.

It's that bad here in California, too. They've dumbed it down so it's pretty high. That came from my lawyer brother-in-law. Sad.
BRING BACK THE GLORY DAYS OF SMU FOOTBALL!!!

For some strange reason, one of the few universities that REFUSE to use their school colors: Harvard Crimson & Yale Blue.

In other news, the pass rate on the Level I CFA exam last June was 35%. Too bad for the economy that you dont have to have a CFA to practice "high" finance
It tastes better when served from a Bowl (game)!
