Five Star Linebacker from Hawaii

Post by ponyboy »

No, unfortunately we're not on his list right now. I do assume JJ's contacted him, though.

Looks like Ken Norton, Jr. is at USC as linebackers coach and has him as one of the favorites.

He's apparently got some sort of Texas connection as he shows interest in A&M, Baylor, and Tech.

Rivals is WAY out of date if that is what they are reporting about Manti Teo. Months ago he cut his list to *5* schools, BYU, USC, Notre Dame, Stanford, and UCLA. He's taking his visits now--last weekend was BYU.

BYU is probably the favorite because of his desire to go on a Morman mission and how strong he is with the church. USC's lead recruiter for Manti was Sarkisian...who is now at Washington, which hurts USC some. Norm Chow has Hawaii connections and is also LDS, so UCLA has a shot too.

Per South Bend Tribune's Tom Lemming, he is down to USC and Notre Dame. He visited Notre Dame in January, and it was a nice day.
Willis to slot receiver!

Nice day in Notre Dame in January? I dont think I am buying that - unless it was divine intervention - in which case how do you explain the last several yrs of their football.

Bringing this back. FYI, this is the guy that JJ says was outperformed by Beck Coulter at a camp in Oregon.
