Apparenty they had a dual engine loss due to bird strike (hit a flock of geese), and were able to glide to a controlled ditching in the Hudson.
I'd kill for a Nobel Peace Prize.

As soon as the plane hit the water within minutes ferry boats in the Hudson River converged on the aircraft and were able to evacuate everyone. At this writing no injuries reported. Once again shows what a great city NY is.
