did anybody see J.R.'s highlight tape on www.smumustangs.com. Haven't seen them all yet and its only 3 plays but his tape maybe the best. Opponents seem to be standing still . Never seen a verified speed on him but he looks very fast. Now hopefully he gets the academic side in order.

Agreed! How is that kid a two star - I will never understand Rivals. Seems first team all City Los Angeles on Offense and Defense would be pretty tough to earn. Of course he did have some good offers from Mtn West and Pac 10...

I love that they have videos up on these recruits . . . only a few plays, but at least it gives you an idea of what the kid is like. Nice touch SMUMUSTANGS.COM! 8)

he definitely has wheels.....I used to drive by that stadium at Venice HS on my way to work. I always thought that would be a cool stadium to play at. Hopefully we got a steal with McConico

I was about to start a thread on how this is my pick for the star of the class. My football knowledge is limited to a little under 30 years of lots of college football on TV and almost as many years playing Madden and other games of the ilk.

Having stated my talent evaluation limitations, his highlights were like a slap in the face. It's possible his three highlights were an aberration, but if they are any indication of his talent, then WOW!
