Would be nice to see more "players that look like Palamalu" on the Hilltop (though I think JJ said "Jay" instead of Troy -- slip of the tongue). JJ did stress, however, how much talent there is within the state of TX. Said that next year he will make more of an effort to stay within a 350-mi. radius. Which is smart, I think. To recruit well JJ HAS to build relationships with local coaches (esp. Dallas & Houston). Bring in the Polynesians, etc., but when there are serious players in the region here, SMU has to be a serious option for them.ponyinNC wrote:would love to see more players from this polynesian pipeline along with Euless and parts of Cali. Like looking outside of Texas.

Agreed. But with JJ's very special relationship with the culture and people of Hawaii, Samoa, etc., we should take full advantage.Rebel_Pony wrote:Would be nice to see more "players that look like Palamalu" on the Hilltop (though I think JJ said "Jay" instead of Troy -- slip of the tongue).
